T-Queen's Fabulous Birthday Party!

FTK-Konnect had the honor of planning T-Queen's birthday party and hair magazine launch. T-Queen is the definition of a "hustler"; her drive and determination for success is admirable. She installs weaves and sells a variety of quality hair. Working with her was an enjoyable experience because of how much she trusted FTK-Konnect to put up a fabulous event for her. Her birthday party turned out to be a memorable one. Her family members, the guests and vendors were all wow'ed by the ambiance we created for T-Queen's party.

Wow! Out of the Norm Venues

If you're an avid reader of  FTK~Konnect's blog you probably know by now that we love weddings. Being wedding lovers sometimes means we are always looking at many wedding websites, blogs and sometime magazines. Some of the themes we've noticed in weddings are: chandelier centerpieces, sequin reception dresses, royal themes, rustic plain themes and lots of bling-bling.

Some of these wedding themes can get repetitive so we dig deep into our unique and creativity well of ideas when planning our events and or weddings. For inspiration, we also look for weddings with apt unique qualities - an example of a unique wedding is when Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel got married and Jessica opted for a pink dress. Even though personally I may not be that bold, I love the fact that she pulled it off. I consider that as an out of the ordinary move for a lot of brides.

I did some research to see how creative wedding couples have gotten lately. This time I focused on the wedding venues chosen. My findings were quite interesting. These days wedding couples are getting extra creative and bold in choosing their wedding venues. Here are some very interesting wedding venues to say the least :)

The most surprising wedding venue actually done may just be in space. This is definitely out of the norm and drives home the true meaning of thinking outside the box (out of this world) LOL!

Wedding Alert: Adeola and Stephen

FTK-Konnect is ecstatic to be planning Adeola and Stephen's August Wedding. Feyikemi says Adeola reminds her of herself because of all the energy that she oozes; when I read the beautiful words her fiance had to say I can definitely see how that's true.  In the words of her husband "Adeola is someone that everyone would love to associate with because you can never experience any kinds of dull moments whenever she is around you. Adeola transforms her positive energetic character into every situation". Adeola would definitely make married life fun and interesting. She would also make planning her wedding a fun task. According to Adeola, Stephen is forgiving, a giver, reliable, intelligent, loving and fun to be around. The combination of this couple is powerful and the words they have to say to each other just melt my heart.  So you are probably wondering by now how these two met...

Adeola and Stephen met at Stephen's brother's house in Baltimore, MD. It was not love at first sight because Stephen was not ready for a relationship and Adeola couldn't stand him. But as fate would have it, Stephen had just moved to Philadelphia where Adeola lived at the time so she volunteered to be his tour guide. They exchanged numbers and they went from being just friends to Adeola going to Nigeria and realizing how much she liked Stephen, to finally taking their relationship to the next level. After a year and three months Stephen decided to propose

April 5th 2013 he proposed at what was supposed to be his "surprise birthday party" and it turned out to be her surprise engagement. FTK~Konnect cannot wait for Adeola and Stephen to tie the knot, It would definitely be a fun day for us.

Couples, how Creative Can You Get?

 It's all about creativity nowadays. Couples are getting more and more inspired with how they reveal their wedding date to friends and family. I have to admit I love it, it makes me look forward to the other things they have in store for their wedding. ColorInspiration Series: Hemlock and Gold

Spring is almost here and this year one of the colors chosen for spring is Hemlock. Hemlock is such a lovely color for the season- the sun is out, flowers are blooming.
